Thoroughbred Announces Monster Well in Grady County, Oklahoma

Thoroughbred Ventures, a Texas-based oil and gas investment firm, is pleased to announce the production results from the Anita Fowler #1-27X-26H Well.

Thoroughbred participated as a non-operated interest owner in the well with Vitruvian Energy II. The Anita Fowler well is Vitruvian’s best Woodford well ever, nearly doubling its previous best rate of 13.6 MMcfe/d.  Located near its other Woodford wells in Grady County, Oklahoma, it was drilled with a 6,500-foot lateral and was stimulated with 8.9 million pounds of proppant and 270,000 bbls of fluid.

The well was drilled in May 2016, and came online with an initial production rate of 377 Barrels of Oil and 18,555 MCF of Gas.  In the first 60 days of production, the Anita Fowler well produced over 17,000 Barrels of Oil and 850,000 MCF of Gas from the Woodford formation.

This type of acquisition by Thoroughbred is part of the company’s strategy to increase its overall portfolio of assets in the prolific Oklahoma STACK (Sooner Trend Anadarko basin Canadian and Kingfisher counties) Play and SCOOP (South Central Oklahoma Oil Province) Play. Thoroughbred is continuing to acquire non-operated working interest in a number of wells within the top producing counties, with the top producing operators in the area providing a platform for robust future growth for the company and its partners.
