Thoroughbred Ventures Announces Two Huge Wells in the Oklahoma STACK Play

Thoroughbred Ventures, a Texas based oil and gas investment firm, announced the results of two newly completed wells with huge initial production in the Oklahoma STACK Play.

Thoroughbred partnered with Continental Resources to drill the Miller Family 1-13-24XH and Yoder 1-13-12XH wells to test the Mississippian Meramec formation in Custer County Oklahoma.  The Miller Family well reached a peak 24-hour production rate of 17,822 MCF of Gas and 91 Bbls of Oil and the Yoder well reached a peak 24-hour production rate of 17,255 MCF of Gas and 60 Bbls of oil.

Thoroughbred specializes in identifying and acquiring non-operated acreage positions in the core areas of the nation’s most prolific unconventional resource plays like the Oklahoma STACK and SCOOP.  Since first entering the STACK and SCOOP several years ago, Thoroughbred and its partners have acquired interests in more than 20 horizontal wells across Grady, Kingfisher, Canadian, Custer and Garvin Counties and to date have seen very impressive results.  A good number of those have been operated by Continental Resources (CLR).
